Seorang remaja asal Inggris belum lama ini menceritakan kisah pilunya saat dipaksa menikah di bawah ancaman todongan pistol di Pakistan.
Ia dipaksa menikahi sepupunya sebelum akhirnya diperkosa setiap hari selama tiga tahun.
Dikutip dari Daily Mail, Tabassan Khan, yang menerima nama baru untuk menyembunyikan identitasnya, baru berusia 15 tahun.
Ia tinggal dengan bibinya di wilayah Doncaster, saat ia diberitahu akan diajak liburan musim panas di Pakistan.
Kheda ‘Luiza’ Goilabiyeva tertunduk penuh kesedihan di hari pernikahan dengan seorang kepala polisi.
Ayah Tabassan diketahui meringkuk di dalam penjara akibat membunuh ibunya saat ia masih berusia 12 tahun.
Ia pun tinggal dengan anggota keluarganya yang lain, bersama tiga orang saudara laki-lakinya.
Akan tetapi, setibanya di Pakistan, Tabassan diancam dengan todongan pistol agar menikahi sepupunya yang berusia 6 tahun.
Ia juga harus tinggal bersama sepupunya tersebut selama tiga tahun.
Tak lama, Tabassan akhirnya mengetahui jika pernikahannya telah diatur agar sepupunya tersebut dapat mengklaim visa agar bisa pergi ke Inggris.
Perjuangannya agar bisa lolos akhirnya membuahkan hasil, pada 2008 pengadilan Pakistan mengabulkan gugatan cerainya hingga akhirnya Tabassan bisa kembali ke Inggris.
Kini, Tabassann bekerjasama dengan beberapa sekolah untuk menanggulangi permasalahan nikah paksa, bersama dengan organisasi It’s My Right : No Forced Marriages.

”Aku kira aku akan berliburan ke Pakistan. Aku sangat senang. Dan kemudian dua bulan berlalu dan waktunya untuk sekolah pun tiba,”
“Aku bertanya pada pamanku kapan aku bisa kembali tapi ia hanya menjawab kalau aku harus tinggal lebih lama.”
”Setelah empat bulan, ia masuk ke kamarku dan menodongkan pistol ke arahku sembari mengancam agar aku harus menikahi sepupuku.”
