Humas Kantor Kemenag Bantaeng, Mahdi Bakri mengungkapkan, dari keterangan penghulu, remaja wanita yang baru berusia 14 tahun selama ini tinggal sendiri di rumahnya. Ibu dari remaja wanita itu telah meninggal dunia, sementara sang ayah bekerja di luar kota.
Remaja wanita yang belum diketahui identitasnya itu merasa kesepian dan takut untuk tidur sendiri di rumah. Selain itu, kepada penghulu, remaja wanita ini juga mengaku tidak ada penjodohan maupun alasan hamil sebelum menikah.
"Alasannya sih begitu yah. Si wanita ini juga menurut keluarganya tidak ada tanda-tanda, berbadan dua atau pun dijodohkan. Mereka memang pacaran," ujar Mahdi kepada detikcom, Sabtu (14/4/2018).
Sebelummya, dua remaja yang 'dimabuk cinta' ini sempat mengajukan permohonan perkawinan kepada pihak KUA Kecamatan Bantaeng. Namun pihak KUA menolak karena persoalan usia mereka yang masih terlalu dini.
Akhirnya KUA mengeluarkan blanko N9 atau penolakan pencatatan. Meski ditolak, usaha dua remaja tersebut untuk menikah tak berhenti sampai di situ.
Mereka dengan bantuan keluarga mengajukan permohonan dispensasi ke Pengadilan Agama Bantaeng. Permohonan tersebut dikabulkan oleh pihak Pengadilan Agama Bantaeng. Hingga pihak KUA tak punya alasan lagi menolak pernikahan dini itu.
